1.1. |
Description of Services/Introduction: |
The Subcontractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, processes, and shall secure and maintain all necessary permits and licenses in order to receive, transport, treat, and dispose of pretreated liquid mixed low-level liquid waste (MLLW) and similar Contractor generated waste containing radioactive and hazardous components. Treatment by the Subcontractor must create a waste stream that meets the applicable disposal site’s waste acceptance criteria (WAC) and regulatory requirements. Disposal must take place outside the State of Washington in a licensed, commercial MLLW landfill.
The Subcontractor shall have the capability to treat and dispose of PTW at a capacity of 100,800 gallons per week in accordance with facility license and permit conditions.
This PWS defines Subcontractor’s performance outcomes for disposal of liquid pretreated tank waste (PTW1), inclusive of Class A/B/C liquid MLLW. The Subcontractor must produce a waste stream meeting disposal WAC and regulatory requirements, residuals generated from the treatment are the Subcontractor’s responsibility. Final disposal occurs outside the State of Washington in a licensed, commercial MLLW landfill.
The project scope includes the full lifecycle management of PTW from the Contractor release through final disposal. Including transportation, receipt verification, treatment, stabilization, LDR/WAC compliance verification, packaging, temporary solids storage, DOT compliant transportation, documentation of final disposal and closeout.
